Google Video shutdown halted for now, Google slinging content over to YouTube itself — Engadget. I asked why this wasn’t done in this post. Very surprising oversight. I understand the cost issue for them but when you give everything for free that is the expectation you set.

Google Videos To Stop Hosting Videos. This is probably frustrating to those people who have uploaded video to Google Video. It takes time to upload video. A better option would be the offer to move them to YouTube automatically or to burn disks and mail them back. I wonder what other services Google will stop offering?

This is a nice comparison between both of them. I must admit that I haven’t used Vimeo as much as YouTube but I will check it out more now. YouTube was always the first one that I thought of for video sharing. Great marketing isn’t it?
