Screen Sharing Spinning Connection

If you are having problems doing screen sharing and the dialog box goes into a spin cycle, follow MartsMac advice below.

This seems to be a HUGE bug that has been around for ages – I found at lest one thread of people complaining about this over a year ago!

Screen sharing usually works ok for me but this lingering login window is a real bust!

You can get the window to go away by logging off or pulling up activity monitor and killing “NetAuthAgent”

Upgrade your original 1984 Macintosh to run OS X Snow Leopard..  Very cool mod.  The screen is unusable to me, but an external monitor would easily fix that.

Clever work around to fix this issue. This webpage has a ton of Leopard related troubleshooting as well. Might be worth a look if you are having a Mac OS X Leopard issue.

Incredibly, Pages ’09 does not seem to support mixing landscape and portrait-oriented pages in the same document, even when using layout breaks. The best workaround I could find is to insert a text box and then rotate it 270°. If you need the landscape-oriented text to span multiple pages, you can link text boxes across pages (select the first text box and then click on the blue arrow below the rotated text box to add the next text box).
