If you have video hosted on Google Video time to move it

Google Videos To Stop Hosting Videos. This is probably frustrating to those people who have uploaded video to Google Video. It takes time to upload video. A better option would be the offer to move them to YouTube automatically or to burn disks and mail them back. I wonder what other services Google will stop offering?

Facetime experiences with Macbook and iPhone 4

I and a friend tested out Facetime.  I had a 3-year-old Macbook and she had an iPhone 4 with the lastest updates.  It worked very well and the picture was the clearest I’ve ever seen.

It was more clear than Google Video, Skype or any video conferencing I’ve used.  The only problem that we had was when she tried to switch to the rear Camera.  It caused the video to freeze my computer and require a restart.

Also we had an initial problem in getting her phone to accept the call from me.  That was solved by this post.  It was a pretty quick fix and took less than 2 minutes to accomplish.

Facetime was great.  It was a little annoying to have to add contacts into the Address book however.  It would have been better if they could be imported off of a gmail contact list or some other IM feature.  That will probably be where most people have their contact information stored.  I wonder if this means that iChat is dying?
