Does Safari version 5.0.1 seem slower? Could be prefetching

Bugs.  According to Ted Landau and some Apple support articles, this is a new feature that was added to speed up web pages.  You can read more how to fix the problem in the link above or try switching to a different DNS service.

according to cstacy you can fix it by doing this.

2. then I deleted Macintosh HD/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/PDF Browser Plugin.plugin (dated 2 Sep 2009 1:09 PM, 1.7 MB)
and re-launched Safari again.

Chrome overtakes Safari in the US News TechRadar UK

Chrome overtakes Safari in the US News TechRadar UK.  Chrome seems to be more stable with flash and the speed is fantastic.  I can’t think of one thing that Safari does better.
