My iTunes has stopped working – InPageError

Apple – Support – Discussions – My iTunes has stopped working …. b noir fixes the issue!

Homing in a bit closer … taken at face value, there’s trouble with your Apple Application Support. (iTunes needs a properly functioning Apple Application Support in order to work correctly.)

How I go about trying to fix those depends on if you’ve got a 32-bit or 64-bit OS. There’s links to both the 32-bit procedure and the 64-bit procedure in the following topic (and a link to information on how to determine if you’re 32-bit or 64-bit):

Apple – Support – Discussions – Itunes Crashes when Importing from …. b noir has the solution in two parts.

Hmmm. I wonder if the Safari for Windows 5.0.2 installer still contains an Apple Application Support 1.3.2
Let’s give the following a shot, Daisy (if you don’t have a shadow copy of the 7.9.4).

Uninstall your iTunes and uninstall your Apple Application Support.

Download and install the latest version of Safari:

That should have reinstalled Apple Application Support. Check in your Apple Application Support program files for the CoreAudioToolbox.dll. Is it a version

If so, take a copy of the dll and stash it on your desktop.

Now reinstall iTunes Replace the CoreAudioToolbox.dll in your updated Apple Application support with the version you had on the Desktop.

(If you don’t want it, it’s fine to uninstall your Safari now.)

Okay, first quit iTunes and/or Safari if they are still open.

If you’ve got a 32-bit Windows 7, drag the copy of CoreAudioToolbox.dll from your desktop into the following folder:

C:\Program files\Common files\Apple\Apple Application Support\

… replacing the copy that is currently in there.

If you’ve got a 64-bit Windows 7, drag the copy of CoreAudioToolbox.dll from your desktop into the following folder:

C:\Program files (x86)\Common files\Apple\Apple Application Support\

… replacing the copy that is currently in there.

Can you get an import and/or a sync to go through now, Daisy?

Apple script to locate and assign photos that do not belong to an album

Apple – Support – Discussions – Apple script to locate and assign ….  Old Toad’s logic is impeccable.  Thanks.

You can easily find photos that are not in any albums by using a Smart Album with the criteria:

Album is not Any

From there you’ll have to manually drag them to their destination album.

However, once you move photos to another album you’ll have to leave it and then go back to it to see the changes you’ve made. It doesn’t automatically update changes while you’re viewing it.

Menu flicker in iDVD

Image via Wikipedia

Tim Wierenga figured it out.

I use the external as storage for the project. I boot from the computer.

You were right on the suggestion that this laptop may not have enough power. I tried it on the Church iMac and the menus were fine.

It is disappointing that iDVD will not work well on a 5 year old machine.

the 2 images that didn’t load have file name begin and end with space, you need to get rid of space characters from file name along with any special characters.

Redirect code:

<script type="text/javascript">
var url ='../../pagename.html';
var delay = 4;
var d = delay * 1000;window.setTimeout ('parent.location.replace(url)', d);

Replace ../../pagename.html by the path or the URL of your page,
and change thenumber of sec. (4 is the number of sec. here).

One frame of just text in iMovie?

The Hawaii state seal.

Image via Wikipedia

Lorna from Hawaii has the answer.

Bengt — After I posted that, I decided to just do what people suggested to me several years ago for iMovie at an earlier incarnation. So I went to my old old Keynote application, wrote a short page, took a screen shot of that page, and then imported that screen shot/picture to iPhoto ’11.

I knew by checking out iMovie ’11 that any image that is in iPhoto is accessible thru iMovie ’11 and can be placed into the clips. So I selected it from within iMovie ’11 and placed it before the first clip of the movie. It was an experimental movie. I wanted to add music so I did, and then decided to delete my voice, and it became a sort of coded message for lip readers. 😎
